More model informationThe giant blue morpho (Morpho didius) is a large butterfly with bright blue, iridescent dorsal forewings and a brown, patterned ventral wing. The iridescence of the blue morpho’s forewing are an area of interest in research because of its unique and compelling microstructure. The blue morpho butterfly is found in the tropical rainforests of Central and South America, where their diet consists mainly of rotting fruit which has fallen to the forest floor.
