Bes Pot: Bolton Museum Collection3D ModelNoAI
An ancient Egyptian bes pot from the collection of Bolton Museum. The intact, squat, red-brown pottery jar features a flat base, rising to two moulded lug handles, from where the body turns in a little to a slightly projecting rim. One handle has a strip from it to the rim, raised slightly above the pot surface. Two heads of the Egyptian god Bes are modelled on the sides of the jar, separated by the handles. They stretch from the base to just below the rim.
