More model informationTomb from the second half of the 4th–first half of the 5th centuries CE in the northwestern cemetery of Berenike. Remains of a wooden threshold and doorframe were discovered in the entrance to this tomb. The floor was made of rounded pieces of coral and shells selected for size. A burial chest was located opposite the entrance. It had a small niche for offerings in its front and an offering platform set off with a border of stone slabs. Inside it were two separate places for burials, of which one was for an adult individual. The other was a wooden chest of small size containing the bones of a child.
