For our “6 Props” project, I wanted to go with a theme that was close to home and one where I can showcase texturing detail. My goal was to create as realistic looking props as possible with the polycount limit set in place, and incorporate appropriate wear + tear and small details to bring the props to life. As the first project of the semester, this challenge was a wonderful way to get into the creative mindset for the upcoming projects of our Modeling II class.
Looking back, things I would tackle differently would be creating more custom textures, and stray away from Textures.com and product images (for the dress form adjustment dials and grid mat). I would also go back and work on strengthening the shape of the Table and Dress Form legs, and rounding out more edges on the sewing machine.
