Aphrodite Anadyomene Statuette3D Model
Description: This statuette depicts a nude, full-body female figure in a contrapposto pose, weight placed on the left leg; right leg is bent, positioned forward. The right arm is bent, placed at the hips. The left arm is bent, raised towards the figure’s face, at eye level. Costume features himation or other garment, ending at the knees. Hair is in a “melon coiffure” style, characterized by knot/bun at the back of the head; head is smooth, lacking detail. Made from a micaceous buff clay, object is hard with thin walls; white slip decoration is visible. The object has minor restorations; a small vent on the back side of the figure is present. Aphrodite “anadyonmene,” refers to myth of Aphrodite’s birth from the sea.
