More model informationThis is an equal-armed brooch reported as treasure and currently going through the treasure process. Equal Armed brooch developed on the Continent in the late fourth century, with a particular regional association with northern Germany (Nicolay 2017, pp. 76–7). Local versions were probably being made in England by the fifth century, and a growing number have been found here, particularly in the south-east.
