Winged cupid with a curly head, the hair is tied up in a two-part mop of hair, the eyes were probably set in silver, the feathers of the attached wings are richly chased. Cupid is standing with his left leg crossed on a rectangular stepped pedestal which was mounted on a support, leaning on a pillar, the upper half of which is broken off. The hand of the right arm rests on the left shoulder, the head is turned to the left shoulder, slightly lowered in the mourning gesture and rests on the right hand. The left arm is lowered, the hand rests on a burning torch whose flame rests on the pedestal: Cupid as the genius of death, as we encounter him on Roman sarcophagus reliefs, with the torch held to the ground as a symbol of life extinguished.
