African Softshell Turtle (NHMW-Zoo1-HS 159)3D Model
3D scan of a skull of an African softshell turtle (Trionyx triunguis). They live in freshwater and brackish waters in larger parts of East, West and Middle Africa, but they even reach the eastern Mediterranean Coast up to Turkey.
These turtles usually prefer tropical regions with high temperatures and are carnivorous .
This skull is part of the herpetological collection at the NHMW and is stored backstage.
