More model informationThis 3d surface created in Photoscan was used to create a 3d print for a blind and partially sighted event at the museum. It was created from just 9 tourist photos and consequently the resulting geometry has limitations, for instances the relief carving seems a little shallow in places and there is some noise in the geometry. Since this model was to be 3d printed (for the event) the carving had to be digitally enhanced and the obvious noise removed by selective smoothing. A good high resolution (4096 x 4096) texture was created as the original photos had some good close-ups of the main areas of interest.
