More model informationUsing Maya I created a blockout of a standard oil drum then a higher res version with some fine detail. Once Finished I used the Lattice deformer to create the dents and make the drum look more used and worn. After creating a game res of the drum I imported the mesh into Substance painter where I used the high res as a base normal map. Since it is a used oil drum I created an oil spil down the side of the model. To get more of a used look texture I used a steel material for the base color then added rust and dirt using brushes and alphas for the symbols and words.
