A blustery day in Cathedral Close - 3d printable3D Model
I have included files for 3d printing. Click on the download button and select ‘additional file’. Unzip once downloaded and you will find an STL file for the figure without a base and one with a base. These can be loaded directly into your slicing software.
The fully textured model can be downloaded by selecting ‘original format’ at download. You are free to use this model in any way including commercially.
The inspiration for the figure was the character of ‘The Warden’ in the TV dramatisation of the novel with Donald Pleasence playing the central role.
I made the model in Zbrush creating about 10 low poly subtools which I then sub divided so that I could add details such as creases and folds (poly count 6m). I merged parts to get about 5 subtools and created UVs by going to the lowest sub div level. I then went up to the highest sub div level and decimated each part keeping UVs (total poly count 250k). I exported as an FBX with ‘smooth normals’ and imported into Substance Painter.
