3D-Scanned Worn Tricorn3D Model
This is unfortunately a cheesy costume tricorn----or, rather, started out as one. I’ve owned it for almost a decade and have worn it enough, and shared it with my brother, that it took on a character that seems almost not-costume-anymore. I’ve even custom-shaped it to suit my personal taste & comfort over time, just as one who wore theirs regularly centuries ago might have.
By 3D-scanning this, I hope to use this model as a base for patterns to make more like it----that aren’t, and never even were to begin with, costume at all.
It was tricky to 3D-scan this, but I was able to well enough, and then sank almot a week into touching-it-up by hand with Dynamic-Topography in “Bender”.
I haven’t tried it yet, but I believe the surface will be a good thickness for 3D-printing as-is in a semi-flex fillament. I’m sure it could even work for printing doll hats; Barbie should be able to have a pink (or black) tricorn if a very cool child wants, no? FOR FASHION-LIBERTY!!
