The radix pavilion was a metallic steel structure which was constructed for the Venice Biennale galleries in Venice, Italy in 2012. Aries Mateus is the group of the designer of the pavilion, who comes out with a concept of “integrating the new with the old”. To illustrate, the structure combining the historical awareness and sensitive of modern technology. Projecting by ribs structure inside the pavilion acts as arches, while metal steels is applied to the outside structure of the pavilion, which indicates the modern architecture of material choosing. The architects wants people to understand the common heritage between the past and present, through the memorial form of the pavilion, spaces, materials using, touch light and sound. Rather than focusing on a particular concept or a special moment, they suppose it is more important to evoke a sense of identity through the representing forms and spaces that constitute the value of the collective.
