Wilhelm Sasnal (1972–) artist/maker
Mościce Art Centre
The free-standing sculpture, formed of 14 prefabricated concrete circles, was placed directly on the ground near the railway station in Mościce, Chemiczna Street. It consists of four rows of circular forms, piled upwards, resembling an unfinished stepped pyramid, with the date “28.03.1983” placed in one of the circles. It refers to the artist’s childhood memories of the Cold War, martial law, and life in the vicinity of a dangerous chemical plant at which American missiles were aimed, ready to be fired.
