More model informationThis drum was used by James K. Hall of Loogootee. Hall enlisted in Co. K, 143rd Indiana Volunteer Infantry as a musicican on Febuary 4, 1864 at age 18. The 143rd Volunteers were stationed in Tennessee until after the war and mustered out on October 17, 1865. The drum was made by Esek Arnold of Little Falls, Minnesota.
This item was donated to the Indiana War Memorial Museum by Jeanne Spenser Fish, granddaughter of James K. Hall.
