More model informationThis structure is the only remaining building from a large over-water gold mine complex near Juneau, Alaska. It is a water pump house and remains out in the intertidal zone, long after the rest of the facility (mainly wooden buildings) was disassembled and removed. It now stands as a reminder of what started the settlement of this area of Southeast Alaska.
I created this model as a record of the structure’s current condition, and to share it with those who aren’t fortunate enough to go visit in person.
