More model informationTriosephosphate isomerase (TPI) is a valuable glycolytic enzyme in humans that is essential for catalysing the reversible interconversion of dihydroxyacetone phosphate (DHAP) and glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate (GAP). TPI contributes a key role in glycolysis as it provides humans with effective energy production. The enzyme is considered to be evolutionary perfect and is highly conserved amongst a vast range of species.
Our 3D model represents TPI utilising characters from the Hunger Games Trilogy. Five key features within TPI are highlighted and explained. It should be noted that we support TPI’s conformational structure, but not Coriolanus Snow’s (evil) ideologies. #TeamPeetaAndKatniss.
