More model informationClose to Kildonan Glen, on the east side of Heabhal and on the southern side of the Bealach Heabha pass, there is a group of three shieling mounds with 10-12 bothain-airighe across their surfaces. Some of these bothans are mainly stone-built but others appear to be primarily turf walled. This is an example of a small corbelled ‘beehive’ structure possibly used as a clamp for storing dairy produce until it was taken back to the main house. This group of shieling huts is not currently listed on Canmore.
